General Information
Directions to the Glamping Park
GlampingPark is located right next to Schloss Thurn Adventure Park and is just a 10-minute drive from the A3 highway (Höchstadt Ost exit) and the A73 highway (Baiersdorf Nord or Forchheim Süd exits).

How do bookings, arrivals, and departures work?
You select an accommodation category (Comfort/Exclusive campsite or Safari Lodge) on our website, and any additional optional services (e.g., tickets to the amusement park, etc.). You can book and pay for your selection right away as part of the online reservation process on the website.
Check-In Times:
Campsites from 12:00 PM
Safari lodges between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM
If you’ve booked in advance, please check in at the front desk during reception hours (9 a.m.–1 p.m. and 2–6 p.m.). If you arrive between 1–2 p.m. or after 6 p.m., you can check in using the key locker. Please notify the front desk in advance (by 12 PM on the day of arrival if you plan to check in between 1 PM and 2 PM, or by 5 PM on the day of arrival if you arrive after 6 PM). We will then send you all the necessary information via email. Anyone arriving on short notice who hasn’t booked in advance can book their stay at one of our two self-service kiosks and check in on their own.
For each booking, you will receive an access card (€5 deposit). This card serves as both your access key and your payment method during your stay. You can add credit (e.g., to empty the toilet cassette at the machine) at the two self-service terminals located in front of the reception desk.
On the day of departure, please vacate your site by 11 a.m. at the latest. Once you have left the campground, you can return your access card(s) at one of the two self-service terminals. There, you will receive a refund of the €5 deposit as well as any remaining balance. Don’t forget your debit card or smartphone/smartwatch (digital wallet)!
Why do I need the access card at the campground?
You’ll need your access card for the following functions:
- Access: It opens the gates for you and serves as the key to the restrooms.
- Prepaid balance: The card serves as a prepaid card that allows you to easily activate electricity and water service in the comfort area, as well as toilet disposal.
- Top up your balance: You can add funds to your account at any time at the front desk or conveniently at the self-service terminal.
Important notes:
Please keep your card in a safe place and notify us immediately if it is lost. At the end of your vacation, everything is settled fairly: You will, of course, receive a refund for any unused credit and the card deposit upon departure.
Can I pay without cash at the campground and amusement park?
Yes! We offer the convenience of cashless payments. To make your stay as easy, safe, and relaxing as possible, all transactions at the campground and the adjacent amusement park are completely cashless.
At the amusement park, you can load cash onto a prepaid card on-site, which serves as a convenient way to pay for rides, food and drinks, and souvenirs. This way, you’ll always have everything under control and can enjoy your visit without any worries.

First Aid
- A first aid kit is available at the reception.
- You will find a defibrillator on the side of the shelter with the moon symbol.
- Additionally, a first aid kit is available in all lodges.
Accessibility
We have two accessible restrooms:
One in Sanitary Module 1 and one in Sanitary Module 4.
Unfortunately, our safari lodges are not wheelchair accessible.

Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes – free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire Glamping Park.

What are the rules for pets?
Up to 2 dogs per pitch are very welcome!
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in our lodges.
How do I pay for my stay?
When booking online, you pay for the services you booked with your reservation.

Is entry & exit possible all day?
For our Comfort sites, check-in and check-out are available between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.; for our Exclusive sites, check-in and check-out are available between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Please observe the prescribed walking speed of 7 km/h on the premises.
Are tickets to the theme park included in the room rate, and where can I pick them up?
No, but they can be purchased either at special conditions during online booking or on-site at the reception.
Is it possible to arrive with larger groups?
Please inquire about this by email with the corresponding description (contact person with communication data, arrival, departure, number of people, occasion, questions/requests regarding the pitches, …).
We may consult with you, and approval will be sent by email.
When is quiet time?
Please avoid noise during quiet hours from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Is there a washing machine?
You’ll find a washing machine and a dryer in Sanitary Module 6.
Staying at a pitch
Is it possible to reserve a pitch?
You can choose a pitch category (Comfort Pitch or Exclusive Pitch) either on our website or upon arrival.
Camping spots can be reserved in advance with no obligation. The final spot will then be selected on-site (generally, you can choose any available spot).
How big are the pitches?
Our Comfort Pitches are 65 m² to 100 m² in size, and our Exclusive Pitches are 90 m² to 120 m² in size.
I am traveling with a caravan. Do I need to book an additional parking space for my car?
No, the car can be parked directly at the pitch.
Am I allowed to stay overnight in a tent on the pitches?
Overnight stays in your own tents are not permitted.
I would like to visit the amusement park on the day of departure. Can I leave my vehicle on my pitch?
Generally, the pitch must be vacated by 11 AM on the day of departure. If you then wish to visit Schloss Thurn Amusement Park, one of our free parking spaces at the amusement park is available to you.
Are there power outlets available at the pitch?
Yes, each pitch provides sufficient power supply.
Where are the sanitary facilities located?
The individual sanitary facilities are marked accordingly on the following map.

Am I allowed to barbecue on my pitch?
Barbecuing on the campsite is permitted only with your own gas grill.
Staying in a lodge
Is it possible to reserve a lodge?
You can select the “Safarilodge” accommodation category on our website or upon arrival.
We will inform you in good time which lodge you will be staying in.
From what time can I check into my lodge?
Our Safarilodge will be available for you starting at 3:00 p.m.
Are bed linen and towels included?
Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind nicht inklusive und müssen für die Dauer des Aufenthalts für 15 € je Garnitur (Bettdecken- und Kopfkissenbezug, Spannbettlaken, großes und kleines Handtuch, Lappen und Geschirrtuch) gemietet werden.
Bed linens and towels are provided in the lodges.
What is included in the lodges?
Our lodges are furnished with a small kitchenette (incl. stove, refrigerator, and French press) and equipped with appropriate accessories for cooking and eating (e.g., glasses, dishes).
Am I allowed to smoke in the lodge?
Smoking is strictly prohibited in our lodges!
Is there heating or air conditioning in the lodge?
Each lodge has two radiators (one in the living and dining area and one in the bathroom). In addition, a space heater is provided for each lodge.
Please pack warm clothes appropriate for the season, slippers, and, if necessary, an extra blanket. Even in summer, it can get cold at night!
Please also note that the tent walls are not insulated!
There is no air conditioning.
Can pets be brought into the lodge?
Pets are not allowed in our lodges.
Are there power outlets available in the lodge?
The individual lodges each have sufficient power connections.
Where are the sanitary facilities located?
The lodge itself is equipped with a toilet and sink.
Shared showers or private showers that can be booked individually are located in the nearby restroom facilities, as indicated on the following map:

Am I allowed to barbecue in front of my lodge?
Barbecuing in front of the lodge is permitted only with your own gas grill. The grill must be set up in front of the lodge and not on the wooden deck. Barbecuing is not permitted on the wooden deck.
Do I have to clean the lodge before departure?
The lodge must be left broom-clean and tidy upon departure. Used dishes must be washed. In case of damage, please report it so that we can arrange for repair or replacement promptly.
It goes without saying that you should treat the furnishings with care so that future guests can also enjoy a clean and well-maintained accommodation, including all the amenities.
Dining
Is breakfast available?
We offer a daily bread roll service: order bread roll package 1-3 at the reception by 4 PM the day before, and pick up freshly baked rolls from 9 AM the next morning!
What dinner options are available in the evening?
After the amusement park closes (at 6:00 p.m.), you can enjoy the park’s dining options at the Saloon in Western Town, which is right next to the GlampingPark, until 8:00 or 9:00 p.m.
Is a table reservation required for dinner at the Saloon?
A table reservation is not necessary for dinner at the Saloon, but we appreciate a brief heads-up if you plan to visit the Saloon so we can prepare enough fresh food.
Are there vegetarian/vegan options?
Our diverse menu in the Saloon and/or Coffeehouse naturally includes various vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Are there shopping facilities nearby?
There is a Netto Marken-Discount store located right in Heroldsbach.
Other stores, such as Edeka, Lidl, and the Müller drugstore, are just a few minutes away by car or bike in Hausen.
Is there a possibility to wash dishes?
Outdoor sinks are available at our sanitary facilities.
